Authorities in Los Angeles have arrested a suspected arsonist accused of starting the devastating Kenneth Fire, 

which has wreaked havoc in the upscale neighborhood of Calabasas. The fire has claimed the lives of 10 individuals, 

displaced numerous families, and caused significant destruction in a community home to many high-profile celebrities.  

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed the arrest of the alleged arsonist on Thursday following an extensive investigation. 

According to officials, evidence gathered at the fire’s origin point led them to a suspect believed to have intentionally ignited the blaze.  

Authorities have not yet disclosed the identity of the accused but revealed that the individual faces multiple charges, 

including arson, reckless endangerment, and potentially manslaughter, pending further investigation.  

Sheriff’s Department spokesperson Lt. Marcus Briggs stated, “This is a heartbreaking tragedy, and we are committed to bringing justice for the victims and their families. Our investigation suggests this fire was not accidental, and we will ensure those responsible are held accountable.”  

The Kenneth Fire erupted earlier this week, fueled by dry conditions and strong winds. Within hours, the blaze spread across the Calabasas area, consuming over 5,000 acres of land and forcing thousands of residents to flee their homes.  

Among the victims are ten individuals who tragically lost their lives, including a firefighter who succumbed to injuries while battling the flames. The identities of the deceased have not been fully released as officials work to notify families.
