SHOCKING: Wynne Evans’ scandal has escalated as he takes legal action against BBC executives, accusing them of breaking their agreement: “They forced me to harass her…”

Opera singer Wynne Evans, known for his role as the Go Compare tenor, is reportedly considering legal action

after stepping down from the *Strictly Come Dancing* live tour amid a scandal surrounding inappropriate comments he made.

Evans, 53, came under fire for a vile remark aimed at *It Takes Two* host Janette Manrara, leading to his decision to withdraw from the tour and other public commitments.

Now, following this fallout, it appears Evans is seeking legal counsel to explore the possibility of suing for breach of contract and loss of earnings.

The controversy erupted when Wynne was caught on film making a sexual comment about Manrara during a photocall to launch the *Strictly* live tour.

His remark, which was caught by *The Mail on Sunday*, caused an immediate backlash, resulting in him stepping down from his role in the tour.

Evans issued a public apology, acknowledging the inappropriateness of his comment and expressing regret for the pain caused. In his statement, he explained that he was prioritizing his mental well-being and taking time out from his commitments to reflect on his actions.

Since the incident, Evans has reportedly been in a “bad way” emotionally, with his brother and partner stepping in to provide support. It is now understood that he has hired Russels, a prominent London-based entertainment law firm, to seek advice on potentially suing for the loss of income resulting from the tour’s cancellation and other professional repercussions. A source close to the singer revealed, “He’s been in a bad way all week and his brother and partner have looked after him. He’s appointed an expensive law firm to take advice on potentially losing his jobs.”

Alongside his *Strictly* tour role, Evans is also concerned about the impact on his long-standing position as a presenter on BBC Wales radio, where comedian Robin Morgan has stepped in to cover for him. Additionally, the star risks losing his lucrative six-figure salary from his role in the Go Compare advertisements, a campaign he has been a part of since 2009.

In the midst of the scandal, Evans’ girlfriend, Liz Brookes, has been a pillar of support. Initially, rumors circulated that the couple had split due to the controversy. However, sources close to Evans have confirmed that Brookes is standing by him during this challenging time. A source told *The Mirror*, “Liz is massively supporting him through this very tough period, and Wynne is appreciative of all the love and support he is getting.”

Despite the serious nature of the scandal, Evans’ friends have defended him, claiming his behavior was the result of poor judgment rather than malice. They attributed his comment to his “terrible sense of humor” and “schoolboy comedy.” One friend explained, “At the end of the day, he has been a bit of an oaf and made a stupid mistake, but does he deserve such hatred? Yes, using the term spit-roast was absolutely wrong, and he realizes this. His problem is that he is a joker and he continually wants to play to the crowd.”

The backlash has also affected Evans’ professional relationships. Professional dancer Katya Jones, who was partnered with Evans on *Strictly*, expressed support for his decision to step back but also distanced herself from the situation. She shared a message on social media after he announced his departure from the tour, saying, “Let’s show humanity and consideration.” However, Katya also “unfollowed” Liz Brookes on Instagram after the couple’s rumored split, adding that she would miss Evans.

Despite the serious nature of the allegations and the public fallout, Evans’ supporters argue that the claims of his career being over are premature. His radio show remains popular, and those close to him believe that he can bounce back from the scandal once the dust settles. A source close to Evans remarked, “Talk of his career ending is premature—his radio show is very popular, and he is very much liked.”

As Wynne Evans navigates the aftermath of his controversial remark, it remains to be seen how his career will evolve. Whether he will pursue legal action or successfully rebuild his public image, one thing is certain: Evans’ career and personal life have been dramatically impacted by this scandal, and the road ahead may prove challenging.
