Carl Woods, former partner of TV personality Katie Price, has launched a blistering attack on the 46-year-old model, 

accusing her of pursuing motherhood not out of genuine love, but for attention. 

The two were the central figures in Channel 4’s two-part docuseries *Katie Price: Making Babies*, which documented their journey through a failed IVF process in 2023. 

The cameras captured the raw and emotional moments of their relationship 

as it began to unravel under the strain of trying to conceive, with the couple ultimately splitting shortly after filming concluded.

Carl, 35, has now opened up in a no-holds-barred interview, claiming that Katie’s true motive for wanting another child wasn’t about building a family with him. 

Instead, he believes her desire was driven by a craving for public attention. “It wasn’t about having a kid with me. It was just about an attention grab, the latest puppy she wants,” Carl said, speaking to *The Sun*. “It didn’t matter if it was me or just a sperm donor. It’s not a story about how much I really want a kid with you.”

His comments underscore his belief that Katie was merely looking for the next phase in her life that would generate headlines, rather than genuinely wanting to raise a child with him. “Katie just wants a kid with anybody who’s going to donate sperm to her,” Carl added. “So excuse me if I’m a bit flippant about it.” These statements come after the pair’s failed IVF attempt, which was documented on camera and revealed the emotional toll it took on their relationship.

Katie, who has five children from previous relationships, was already a mother to sons Harvey, 22, Junior, 19, Jett, 11, and daughters Princess, 17, and Bunny, 10. However, her desire for another child led her to pursue IVF with Carl. Unfortunately, their journey was not successful, and the relationship soon fell apart. Despite the breakup, Carl seems to have no regrets. In a previous interview, he expressed his relief at the split, saying, “This is not a heartbreak situation. I’m not unhappy that it didn’t work. I’m ecstatic that it didn’t work.”

He added that he believed their separation was for the best, stating, “I’m sure she’s glad she’s got the clean break. You know, we don’t have any ties. So actually, yes, everything happens for a reason. God was looking down on me and Kate and said, ‘you’re not matched to be parents, let’s not make this work. You go that way, I’ll go this way.’”

The release of *Katie Price: Making Babies* sparked controversy among viewers, many of whom were critical of Katie’s approach to the IVF process. In particular, the episode where Katie and Carl discussed their preferences for potential sperm donors left many people uncomfortable. Katie and Carl were filmed discussing attributes they would like their child to inherit, with Katie asking, “Right, would you like them to have curly hair or straight? I like curly.” Carl, however, expressed a preference for straight hair. The conversation continued with discussions on hobbies, education, and physical traits, which many viewers found to be inappropriate given the sensitive nature of IVF.

The reaction from viewers was swift and negative, with some accusing Katie of using the IVF process for entertainment value. Shame on #Channel4 for giving her a platform.”

Katie was also told by doctors that she had only a 1% chance of conceiving using her own eggs, a fact that added another layer of difficulty to her journey. Despite the challenges, the documentary exposed the raw moments of Katie and Carl’s IVF attempts, culminating in their split after the failed treatment.

The documentary, and Carl’s recent comments, have brought further scrutiny to Katie’s motivations behind having another child. While Carl claims her desire wasn’t about starting a family with him, only time will tell how Katie reflects on the experience.
