Their daughter, Courtney Roker Laga, took to social media to share the heartbreaking news that her mother passed away at the age of 77.

On Monday, February 11, Courtney, 37, opened up about her grief in an emotional Instagram post, revealing that her beloved mother had passed away.

“She was my mother, my heart, and the most loving grandmother to Sky,” Courtney wrote, referring to her young daughter. 

“I was with her for her last breath, and I will carry her love with me always.”

Accompanying her tribute, Courtney shared a collection of touching photos, including childhood pictures with Bell and heartwarming moments of Bell holding her granddaughter.

A Loving Mother and Grandmother

Alice Bell, who was married to Today meteorologist Al Roker in the late 1980s, adopted Courtney with him shortly after her birth in 1987. While their marriage eventually ended, Bell remained a devoted mother, playing a vital role in Courtney’s life.
