Anna Kendrick couldn’t hold back her FURY and called Blake Lively a “b*tch” for ruining her career. What’s the full story?

Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively’s Rift Reportedly Intensifies Over Promotion of ‘Another Simple Favor’ Sequel

Tension appears to be brewing between A Simple Favor co-stars Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively as they prepare for the press tour of their highly anticipated sequel,

\Another Simple Favor. According to sources, Kendrick is looking to distance herself from Lively due to the latter’s ongoing legal dispute with actor and producer Justin Baldoni.

This growing rift could significantly impact the film’s promotional strategy, with insiders suggesting that the two actresses may not even appear together during the press tour.

A Press Tour in Turmoil

The 2018 thriller A Simple Favor, directed by Paul Feig, was a surprise hit, and fans have been eagerly awaiting its sequel.

However, behind the scenes, promotional efforts for Another Simple Favor are reportedly being overshadowed by controversy surrounding Lively’s legal battle with Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios.

Industry insiders claim that Kendrick, 39, has approached studio executives with concerns about how the press tour will be handled. The Pitch Perfect star allegedly hopes to avoid any association with Lively’s legal troubles, which have been dominating headlines.

“Anna is adamant about keeping the focus on the film rather than being dragged into Blake’s lawsuit,” an insider revealed. “She’s concerned that interviews will shift away from the movie and turn into discussions about Blake’s legal issues.”

Shifting Strategies: From a Duo to a Solo Approach?

Originally, the studio had planned for Kendrick and Lively to promote the film together, just as they had done for the original. However, given the current situation, it is now unclear whether the duo will be seen side by side at all.

“The plan was for them to do the majority of press appearances together,” the source explained. “But now, Anna is reconsidering and may go solo instead.”

Kendrick’s reported concerns stem from the potential media frenzy surrounding Lively’s lawsuit. She fears that interviewers will focus more on the legal drama rather than the movie itself.

“Anna doesn’t want every press event to turn into a Q&A about Blake and Justin Baldoni,” the source continued. “She’s prepared to handle the film’s promotion alone if necessary.”

Lively’s Limited Promotional Role?

Despite the uncertainty, Another Simple Favor is set to premiere at the SXSW Film and TV Festival in Austin, Texas, on March 7. Lively is expected to attend, but sources claim this may be her only major public appearance related to the film’s promotion.

“Beyond SXSW, Anna and the others don’t anticipate Blake having a deep level of involvement in the press tour,” another insider shared. “While she is contractually obligated to promote the film, how much she participates beyond the festival is entirely up to her.”

This shift in strategy is a stark contrast to the original plan, which envisioned Lively and Kendrick embarking on a full-scale promotional campaign together. However, with Lively’s legal troubles looming, the studio is reportedly giving her more flexibility regarding her involvement.

A Professional Relationship, Not a Friendship

While Lively and Kendrick’s on-screen chemistry was a major highlight of A Simple Favor, insiders claim that their off-screen dynamic has always been strictly professional.

“These movies are basically all Anna and Blake have in common,” a source explained. “They have a working relationship, but by no means a close friendship.”

Given the current circumstances, Kendrick reportedly sees no reason to risk being drawn into Lively’s legal battle.

“Anna would rather keep her distance from Blake during this time,” the source added. “Last-minute discussions are happening behind the scenes to determine the best course of action for the press tour.”

Will the Rift Impact the Film’s Success?

While Another Simple Favor is still on track for its May 1 theatrical release, the tension between its two leading stars could pose a challenge for its promotional efforts. Without the joint press appearances that fans were expecting, the marketing campaign may take a different turn.

Despite these reported issues, the film itself remains highly anticipated, and audiences will ultimately determine its success. Whether Lively and Kendrick will share the stage again to promote it remains to be seen, but for now, it appears that the drama behind the scenes may be just as compelling as the mystery on screen.
