On February 10, Courtney took to Instagram to share the sad news that Bell, 

who was previously married to the beloved “Today” show host from 1984 to 1994, had died at the age of 70.

Although Courtney did not reveal the cause of her mother’s death, she posted a touching tribute highlighting the immense impact Alice had on her life. 

Along with a series of photos capturing moments from her childhood and Alice spending time with her granddaughter, Sky Clara, Courtney reflected on the deep love they shared.

“She was my mother, my heart, and the most loving grandmother to Sky,” Courtney wrote in an emotional Instagram caption. 

“I was with her for her last breath, and I will carry her love with me always.”
