BRUTAL: Kendrick Lamar humiliates his rival Drake by revealing how he managed to bring Drake’s ex, Serena Williams, to the Super Bowl final.

In a Super Bowl halftime show that captivated millions, Kendrick Lamar delivered a performance rich in surprises and nuanced decisions.

One of the most talked-about moments was the unexpected appearance of tennis legend Serena Williams during Lamar’s rendition of “Not Like Us,”

a track widely recognized as a diss aimed at fellow rapper Drake. Notably, Lamar altered a specific lyric during this performance, adding layers to an already intricate narrative.

As Lamar’s performance reached its zenith, Serena Williams emerged on stage, executing the Crip Walk—a dance move she famously showcased at Wimbledon in 2012.

Her presence was particularly significant given her past relationship with Drake, which spanned from 2011 to 2015.

This cameo was perceived by many as a subtle yet powerful statement, intertwining personal histories with public performance.

During “Not Like Us,” Lamar is known for the line, “Certified Lover Boy? Certified pedophile,” directly referencing Drake’s 2021 album “Certified Lover Boy.”

However, in this high-profile performance, Lamar chose to omit the word “pedophile,” pausing briefly instead. This deliberate omission was likely a strategic move, considering Drake’s ongoing defamation lawsuit against Universal Music Group (UMG) concerning the song’s content.

The tension between Lamar and Drake has been escalating since early 2024, marked by a series of diss tracks and public exchanges. “Not Like Us” stands out as a particularly scathing critique, leading to significant legal repercussions. Drake’s lawsuit against UMG alleges defamation and questions the label’s role in promoting the track.

The halftime show, held at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, drew an audience of over 80,000 attendees and millions of viewers worldwide. Lamar’s decision to perform “Not Like Us,” coupled with Williams’ appearance, elicited a range of reactions. Some viewers praised the boldness and layered messaging, while others debated the appropriateness of airing personal disputes on such a grand stage.

Following the performance, Serena Williams expressed her excitement on social media, sharing behind-the-scenes moments and highlighting her enthusiasm for the collaboration. Her participation not only underscored her connection to Lamar through their shared Compton roots but also added a personal dimension to the ongoing narrative between Lamar and Drake.

Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime performance will be remembered not just for its musical excellence but also for its intricate interplay of personal histories and public statements. By bringing Serena Williams on stage and modifying specific lyrics, Lamar navigated the complexities of artistic expression, personal relationships, and legal considerations, leaving audiences with much to ponder.
