Feeling a sense of déjà vu? Social media followers are discovering proof that Blake Lively previously “cornered” another male coworker just like she did with Justin Baldoni.

Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s on-screen collaboration in It Ends With Us has been overshadowed by a legal and public feud that continues to escalate.

A significant aspect of the dispute revolves around Lively’s alleged attempts to gain creative control over the film.

This controversy has now taken an unexpected turn, with fans drawing intriguing comparisons between a contentious scene in the movie

and a similar moment in Lively’s first film with her husband, Ryan Reynolds, Green Lantern.

The legal battle between Lively and Baldoni is set to intensify, as both parties prepare to face each other in court next year.

Baldoni, who directed and starred alongside Lively in the adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel, has countered Lively’s accusations with claims of defamation, arguing that her allegations have severely damaged his career and reputation.

The dispute gained traction last month when Baldoni, 41, released unedited footage of a dance scene at the heart of the controversy. Lively, 37, has alleged that during the filming of this scene, Baldoni inappropriately dragged his lips down her neck and made an unsettling comment about her scent.

In her civil rights complaint, Lively stated that the comment was made in a silent, romantic montage where microphones were turned off, which she claims prevented others from overhearing the interaction. However, reports from DailyMail.com have since revealed that Baldoni’s sound equipment was active during the shoot. The recorded audio reportedly captures Baldoni making a remark about Lively’s fake tan rather than an intimate comment about her personal scent. Despite this, Lively’s legal team insists that the video remains incriminating.

Fans have since fueled the drama with a conspiracy theory regarding the dance scene, noticing its striking resemblance to a scene from Green Lantern, the 2010 superhero film in which Lively starred opposite Ryan Reynolds. At approximately 30 minutes into Green Lantern, a romantic dance sequence between Lively and Reynolds’ characters unfolds in a manner reminiscent of the disputed It Ends With Us scene. This has led some to speculate that Lively may have intentionally shaped the choreography to mirror her past experience with Reynolds, possibly as a personal tribute to their relationship.

One fan took to social media to highlight the similarities, writing, “I noticed that about 30 minutes into Green Lantern, there’s a scene where Lively and Reynolds dance in a bar in an almost identical way to the slow dance scene from It Ends With Us. The only difference is that in the former, the characters were talking.” Others questioned whether Lively had deliberately sought to recreate a pivotal moment from her romantic past, pondering if Reynolds’ involvement in her creative decisions played a role in the unfolding controversy.

The speculation intensified after Lively previously mentioned that her husband had contributed to the development of It Ends With Us. In an interview, she revealed that Reynolds had written a key scene in the film, stating, “The iconic rooftop scene—my husband actually wrote it. Nobody knows that, but you now.” This statement led to further debate over the extent of Lively’s influence over the film’s direction and whether her attempts to reshape certain scenes led to tension with Baldoni and the production team.

The controversy has sparked divided opinions among fans and industry insiders. While some support Lively’s claims and view the released footage as corroboration of her discomfort, others argue that Baldoni’s counterclaims and video evidence suggest an overblown misunderstanding. Lively’s legal team asserts that the footage clearly shows Baldoni repeatedly engaging in unscripted, inappropriate behavior, including leaning in toward her, attempting to kiss her, rubbing his face against her neck, and caressing her in ways that were not pre-approved.

On the other hand, Baldoni’s legal team has insisted that the scene was a natural part of the film’s romantic storytelling and that Lively’s allegations are an attempt to exert creative control and damage his professional standing. The director maintains that the scene was shot in accordance with the script and that there was no ill intent in his actions.

As the legal battle progresses, the drama surrounding It Ends With Us continues to generate headlines. The addition of fan theories connecting the film’s scenes to Lively’s personal history only adds another layer of intrigue to an already complex dispute. Whether these theories hold any weight remains uncertain, but one thing is clear—the rift between Lively and Baldoni is far from over, and the fallout from their feud will likely be felt for years to come.
