Jason Kelce announced he’s cutting off his brother, blaming him for financial ruin: He’s a useless bastard…

Jason Kelce’s luck at the casino ran out in spectacular fashion ahead of Super Bowl 2025 in New Orleans.

The former Philadelphia Eagles center shared his unfortunate gambling experience during the latest episode of the New Heights podcast,

co-hosted with his brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

Recounting his time in New Orleans before the big game on February 9, Jason admitted, “I lost all my money at the casino.”

His night of gambling preceded the Eagles’ dominant 40-22 win over the Chiefs at Caesars Superdome.

“I went to a New Heights party. I went to a [Chris] Stapleton concert. Outside of that, I just lost all my money at the casino,” he told Travis.

A Tough Night at the Craps Table

Jason, who had previously enjoyed success at the tables in Las Vegas during Super Bowl festivities, was feeling confident heading into this year’s trip. However, things took a turn for the worse.

“The casino’s right next door, and because I won so much money last year at Las Vegas [at the Super Bowl], I thought, ‘You know, hey, we’ll just keep this rolling, this will be great,’” he said.

That optimism quickly faded as he faced a brutal losing streak at the craps table. “Yup, didn’t work this time. It’s back to why I don’t normally go to the casino. It’s just like handing them money,” Jason added.

A Frustrating Opponent at the Table

The former All-Pro center also found himself annoyed by another player’s strategy at the table. “I’m sitting there playing craps,” he said, “and this f–king dude is sitting down playing the ‘don’t pass’ line, killing it, just killing it… I want to kill this guy so bad.”

For those unfamiliar, the “don’t pass” line is a bet that goes against the majority of the table, meaning this unnamed player was profiting as others, including Jason, continued to lose.

Jason compared his casino experience to the Super Bowl matchup between the Eagles and Chiefs, joking that his losing streak at the table was even worse than the game itself.

“To be honest, [the craps table] was a bigger bloodbath than the game was. I know you’re frustrated with the Eagles-Chiefs game,” Jason told Travis. “The craps table with Jason Kelce versus this guy was even more embarrassing.”

Travis couldn’t help but agree. “I don’t know if it can get any more embarrassing than that,” he said.

Jason Kelce’s Future After Football

While Jason may have walked away from the casino empty-handed, his career earnings remain impressive. The six-time All-Pro center made approximately $82 million over his 12-year career with the Eagles.

After announcing his retirement from professional football earlier this year, Jason quickly transitioned into broadcasting, signing with ESPN as an analyst in May.

Meanwhile, his brother Travis continues to play for the Chiefs, despite ongoing speculation about his future. During a recent interview on The Rich Eisen Show, The Athletic’s Dianna Russini reported that Travis is “leaning more toward” playing another season.

As for Jason, his casino losses may have been a tough pill to swallow, but his time in New Orleans was still filled with memorable experiences. Even if his luck at the tables wasn’t on his side, his new chapter in sports media is just beginning.
