Jenna Bush Hager recently put an end to speculation about her marriage after fans noticed she had not been wearing her wedding ring. 

The television personality addressed the rumors directly, explaining the reason behind her missing ring and assuring viewers that her marriage to Henry Hager remains strong.

Clearing Up the Rumors

The topic surfaced during the February 26 episode of Today With Jenna and Friends, where Jenna co-hosted alongside comedian Heather McMahan. 

While discussing a story involving Scarlett Johansson losing her engagement ring, Jenna took the opportunity to share her own experience with a missing wedding ring.

“I had a bad wedding ring situation,” she admitted. 

“I’m not wearing one now because I broke my finger, but don’t worry, I’ve seen some of the comments. Henry and I are still very happily married.”

Her candid response was meant to put an end to the growing speculation from fans who had noticed her bare finger in recent appearances.

A Past Wedding Ring Mishap

Jenna also revealed that this wasn’t the first time she had experienced a problem with her wedding jewelry. She recounted a memorable night at Today co-host Savannah Guthrie’s 50th birthday celebration, where an unfortunate incident led to the loss of a precious stone from her engagement ring.

The night had been a lively one, and Jenna confessed that she was “one of the last people standing” at the party. Her husband had left the event earlier, leaving her to enjoy the evening with friends. However, the next morning, she woke up to an unsettling realization.

“I looked down at my engagement ring, and one of the stones was gone,” she shared.

Knowing she had already tested her husband’s patience with what she jokingly referred to as her “wild behavior” at the party, she felt nervous about breaking the news to him. Eventually, she decided to be upfront, telling him, “Honey, I know I lost a little bit of dignity last night, but I also lost your grandmother’s sapphire.”

Despite the mishap, Jenna said Henry took it in stride. “He was okay, he’s a tolerant person,” she explained. “My mom calls him a saint, which is really just her way of saying that I’m difficult to be with, but I never found the stone again.”

“And I was like, ‘Why are you scheduling this appointment right now? I could be going into labor, but here I am picking you up from the clinic,’” she joked.
