Kelly Ripa leaves her husband Mark feeling flustered when she reveals that she has a mirror positioned in front of their bed to help set the mood for intimacy.

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos have given fans an intimate look inside their luxurious New York City townhouse,

sharing details about their stylish home and even revealing the unique reason behind the large mirror in their bedroom.

The longtime couple, who tied the knot in May 1996, welcomed Architectural Digest into their $27 million Upper East Side residence, offering a glimpse into their personal sanctuary.

With an opulent Art Deco design, the home was crafted with the expertise of AD100 designer William Sofield,

transforming the space into an elegant retreat that reflects their refined taste.

As the video tour began, Kelly and Mark greeted viewers at their front door, beaming with excitement.

“Welcome to our favorite place on earth, come on in,” Kelly announced as they ushered the cameras inside.

One of the standout moments of the tour was their bedroom, which the couple described as their personal oasis. “I think the feeling for the bedroom was always like when we travel to Europe, or we go to a beautiful hotel—the feeling that you get there. It’s sexy, it’s peaceful, it’s quiet. That was the feeling we were going for in the bedroom,” Mark shared.

The couple addressed the elephant in the room—or rather, the mirror in front of their bed. “Don’t think we’re crazy about putting a mirror in front of our bed, it hides a TV,” Mark clarified. Kelly playfully added, “We don’t stare at ourselves, we watch Judge Judy.”

Before stepping into their bedroom, the tour started in their luxurious cigar lounge on the fifth floor. Mark, an avid cigar enthusiast, had a special ventilation system installed so he could enjoy his cigars without the lingering smell. “We wanted it to feel like 1970s New York City meets 1920s Paris,” Kelly explained, revealing that they had sourced unique pieces from flea markets in Paris to perfect the ambiance.

The cozy lounge is decorated with navy blue leather seating, a matching wall color, and silver-framed artwork, creating an inviting yet sophisticated atmosphere. While Mark spends most of his time there, Kelly admitted she rarely visits the space, but when she does, she thinks, “I should spend more time up here, it’s so pretty.”

Their bedroom, on the other hand, is a place where they both spend significant time. Designed with a serene color palette, the room features gold-patterned walls, beige curtains, and plush white bedding. A large desk by the window serves as Kelly’s workspace, where she revealed she wrote her book.

Despite their home’s grand scale, Kelly and Mark still share a bathroom and a closet—something they say helps them stay mindful of their possessions. “Even though the kids have gone, we still share a bathroom and a closet, and people always find that very remarkable,” Kelly noted. She added, “I don’t think we will ever not share a bathroom or a closet. It keeps us diligent about what we buy, wearing what we have, and not being wasteful—it keeps you honest.”

The couple, who are parents to Michael, 27, Lola, 23, and Joaquin, 21, have kept their children’s rooms untouched to encourage their visits.

Next on the tour was their “informal formal living room,” which serves as both an entertainment space and a setting for important business meetings. The neutral-toned room features a plush velvet sofa, an elegant fireplace, and a designated area for their Christmas tree each holiday season.

Their kitchen, described as “the heart and soul” of their home, is positioned just off their garden. The space is designed with a large island, light green bar stools, and stainless steel appliances. Kelly shared that their pantry functions more as a “snack closet”—a testament to their love for easy-access treats.

The transparent kitchen cabinets also serve a practical purpose. “They keep us honest because we’re forced to be organized,” Kelly admitted. The dining area features a sleek wooden table with suede chairs, creating a warm and inviting space for family meals.

Mark took a moment to praise Kelly’s cooking, calling her “a fabulous cook,” but she quickly downplayed the compliment. “No, no, I’m not a fabulous cook, I cook. There’s a total difference in those two statements,” she joked. Mark, however, insisted, “No, you do great!” Kelly laughed, adding, “I do great because he’s hungry.”

After moving several times throughout their marriage, the couple has found their forever home in this Upper East Side townhouse. Kelly made it clear that she has no plans to leave. “I don’t want to sound morbid, but they’ll have to carry me out of here feet first because I have gotten good and comfortable in this house.”

Their home reflects their personalities—elegant yet comfortable, stylish yet warm. Through this tour, Kelly and Mark have given fans a closer look at the place they cherish most, proving that their love for design and each other is as strong as ever.
