On January 10, 2025, DiCaprio, along with his girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti and his father George DiCaprio, 

was spotted arriving in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, after flying out of Los Angeles via private jet. 

Their departure came amidst widespread evacuations triggered by a series of wildfires that have devastated large parts of Southern California. The fires, which started on January 7 in the upscale Pacific Palisades community, have since spread to other areas, burning over 41,000 acres and destroying thousands of homes.
