TV presenter Lorraine Kelly has reassured fans about her well-being after viewers expressed concern over her appearance during her morning show. 

The 65-year-old, known for her warm personality and signature style, appeared on Good Morning Britain before hosting her own show on March 6. 

However, fans quickly noticed that her face looked swollen, prompting speculation about what might have caused the change in her appearance.

Fans Express Concern Over Lorraine’s Look

Dressed in a stylish brown maxi dress with a plunging neckline, Lorraine looked as radiant as ever as she presented her show. 

However, viewers were quick to take to social media to comment on what they believed was an unusual change in her appearance.

Many questioned whether she had suffered an allergic reaction, with some even speculating if she had undergone cosmetic procedures.

One concerned fan wrote: “Has she been stung by a wasp?” while another questioned: “What has happened to Lorraine’s face today? Eyes very puffy. Injected or allergy?”

Others directly addressed the presenter, urging her to seek medical attention. “@Lorraine I am worried that you might be having an allergic reaction, your face looks very swollen, please get checked out,” a follower wrote.

Lorraine Sets the Record Straight

Although Lorraine did not address the speculation on her morning show, she later spoke about it during an appearance on Loose Women the same day. The Scottish TV star took the opportunity to clarify what had actually happened and put rumors to rest.

Explaining the incident, she said: “Yesterday, you know as women, you try to do too many things at one time. Well, I had a massive bag of washing and couldn’t see. I was going from the kitchen to the living room and there’s a wee step and my slippers are too big. So I fell over and I fell onto a rhino.”

She then revealed that the “rhino” in question was actually a large decorative piece in her home. Unfortunately, the impact left her with a visible injury.

“I hit my face on it,” she continued. “I thought I’d be fine, but I woke up today with the biggest shiner, this big black eye. I thought, I won’t say anything, and Helen, our make-up artist, has done a brilliant job.”

Addressing Surgery Speculation

With fans speculating whether her appearance was the result of cosmetic work, Lorraine made it clear that there was no truth to those claims.

She told Loose Women panelist Charlene White that while her face was “a bit sore”, she was otherwise fine.

“Someone phoned in and said, ‘Have I had filler?’ No!” Lorraine said, dismissing the rumors. “A lot of people were asking if I was okay and had an allergy. But it’s not an allergy, it’s not fillers.”

A Lighthearted Take on the Incident

Despite the accident, Lorraine maintained her usual upbeat attitude, laughing about the situation and admitting she felt a little silly for tripping. While the incident may have caused a temporary change in her appearance, it is clear that there is no reason for concern.
