One of his standout moments came in 2021 when he took part in an episode of NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt: Kids Edition, where he interviewed one of his favorite authors, Jeff Kinney, best known for the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. Jones admitted she was nervous for him but also incredibly proud as he prepared thoughtful questions and learned the art of follow-ups.

More recently, Kayin delivered a speech at his middle school graduation in 2024, another moment that made Jones beam with pride. She reflected on the milestone in a heartfelt Instagram post, writing, “When you stepped up to the podium with that smile, my heart was filled with so much gratitude for the young man that you are, and the man you are becoming.”

That same year, Kayin also had the opportunity to visit the White House with his mom, where he met President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden. Jones later shared a touching moment from the encounter, revealing that Biden gave Kayin a sincere piece of advice: “Son, I want to tell you the most important thing. Always, take care of your mother.” Kayin respectfully responded, “I will. Yes, sir.”
